Fabricado por Bernardaud, este plato de Jeff Koons presenta una fotografía de George Caddy elegida por el artista. His new artwork has been sold for important sums, including at least one world record in auction for the work of a living artist: November 12th 2013 "Balloon dog (orange)" sold by Christie's for 58,400,000 USD.
Fabricated by Bernardaud, this plate by Jeff Koons presents a George Caddy's photograph, chosen by the artist. This piece combines the classicism of a Black and White Photography with the functionality of an everyday object. The round shape of the plate together with the pose of the young bathers reminds of the peace and love sign; however, we should not be surprised by the irreverent character of Jeff Koons in this piece, as this composition also refers to his iconic work "Acrobat" that represents an inflatable lobster balancing on a chair and a trashcan.
